A function that gives me a chance to limit a charging session to a certain and configurable amount of kWh:
- avoid to "overcharge" to e.g. 80 %
- better usage of flexible prices: use only the real cheapest hour to charge.

Fully agree. This is needed. x kWh or x minutes would be good. Even better would be if I could tell the App on what charging level my car is an to what charging level it should go. Of course, I would need to tell the App the size of my battery as well.
Thomas Gottschalk
Yes! We need this….it would be so convenient to come home on a cloudy day or the evening and charge what is needed for driving the next day, say 15kWh, that would prevent unnecessary charging the car with grid power instead solar power….should be so easy to program?
Thx Easse team!

In Belgium we will get penalised for Peak usage. So I would also like an option where we could just specify the Max kW that the charger will produce. The percentage option is ok to not overload the system, but I really need to prevent my peak usage as much as possible.
But I think I'm in the wrong topic. The car supports a max percentage/kWu. I would like to manage the max output. My bad

I very much like to have an additional option to tell the app to limit the load process to a defined amount of kWh or to a given time period.
I was told by several sources that loading the battery to 100% all the time is not a very good idea. My car does not offer the possibiity to limit the amount. Therefore I like to have the possibility to adjust the amount of energy to be loaded. Alternatively it would also work if I would be able to limit the load time.
Limit the load time can already be done by using a timeframe in the weekly plan. But this is not at all user friendly. There should be an additonal option for that. E.g. load for the next 60 minutes or load a maximum of 10 kWh.
Perfect would be if the app could figure out the load level from the battery. It would be perfect to tell the app to load the car up to 85% or so. That would be the perfect solution for me. But I fear this is not a simple case because the app might not be able to evaluate the load level from the battery. At least not for all cars.
Please, please add this kind of feature soon. Thank you !!!

We have 2 easee wallbox. We want to buy a Fiat 500 electric which can't set the charging limit. It would be great if you guys could handle that! :)
Sven Witterstein
Same problem here, the PSA/Stellantis Platform (Mokka, Corsa, Fiat 500, C4 Electro, maybe DS3 elektro and whatever else) don't seem to support SOC limits. Instead of fiddling with amps and 1 Phase/3 Phase, an "amount in kWh" "power limit" and maybe duration or time window would fulfil this more or less. On a gas station I can sometimes also select "limit fuel to x EUR" or "put 20l into the tank"... This would be more fulfilling the "robotic" claim
Sven Witterstein
I mean like a button below the "play/pause" button, or some buttons like "5kWh" "10 kWh"... Configurable maybe like "quick preset" or so... or the two/three wheel solution as mentioned below
Moritz Schneider
That could be also a really nice feature!

This is what I need too. My solar cells just deliver 1 to 3 kW if power. It would be nice, if I could regulate the charging power from 1.4 to 3.7 kW using the app (like on go-e products), I cannot regulate it on the car.
Gernot Riedel
Yes, I would like to regulate the charging power as well from the app, as a "User", not only for administrators.
Bernd Hesse
For CCS-capable cars it might even be possible to read the SOC of the car (dont know if the wallbox hardware would support that) and AC-Charge up to a configured SOC.
Sven Witterstein
I shold be able to issue a command to the So called charging robot to put e. g. 10 kWh into the car with 8 amps (or 5KW) from 11 a. m. Till 2 pm each Day until car rejects. And a Quick fucnction to Charge a defined kwh amount at defined Power aß hoc. Same fucnction of oreselection of defined Gas amount or value at a Gas station

You can specify a schedule when to charge but not how much power you will charge your battery. It would be nice if you could specify start time and kAh to send over to the car.
The battery will last longer if it is not fully charged for a long time and if you know you only need 20% tomorrow then don’t fill it up!

Is it possible to add a countdown in the app so that you do not have to charge more than you want?

It will be a nice option to limit the amount of energy loaded during the instant charging process.

It would be perfect if there was posible to add a function in the app. I would like two «wheels» or «curton menus» where I could request an amount of KW deliverd to the car. For example I would like to have 10kw delivered to the car in 10 hours. The changer then figured out that it would take 1kw pr hour into the car. This would be helpfull to not stress the battery, or the power grid in a certain time.

Idea for the App GUI:
- a slider upright on the front page for charging Power (min kW to max kW)
- another slider landscape for charging time on the front page (0- X min)
My2Ct
And based on the sliders: an estimated amount of kWh - or % if if there would be a setting to set Your cars Battery size

Yeah! I'm happy to see the Status Change. Best EV Charger gets even better! Thanks folks.

I agree with My2ct - the car manufacturer advises normal charging to 80% but this relies on me monitoring the charge level rather than being able to set it at the start. This would be a great improvement in functionality.
Jampe Uppgård
It's pretty bad that manufacturers say only charge to 80% and many don't have a in car way to limit the charging.

In terms of time, this can already be achieved by using the scheduling function (Weekly schedules).
A more ad-hoc approach with for instance capacity, or a energy limits or a timer countdown has been suggested before, so you could perhaps look those up here in upvoty and upvote them, the more upvotes something gets the more likely it is that we'll prioritise something.
But just so I didn't misunderstand you, what did you have in mind? Could you elaborate? :)
Rune
I think it would have been nice when I come home from work at different times to want to charge the battery to approx. 50%. This is the best for the li-ion battery. And then I charge a couple of hours in the morning before I use the car. Then I use the weekly planner when I travel at the same time every day. A little easier to set an «timer» than to adjust the weekly planner every day. This is something I do to take care of the battery in the car so it is not stored unnecessarily at 100% when the car is not in use. This is to take good care of the battery so it lasts as long as possible to maintain good capacity on it.
Sven Löfquist
Good idea! I would add the ability to set a % of my battery capacity. I assume that the system can extract that information from the car.
